Actor Shine Tom Chacko and four Models held with cocaine
Malayalam cine actor Shine Tom Chacko and four women were arrested by police in possession of cocaine, cocaine valued Rs1 million in the international market, police said on Saturday, film Actor Shine Tom Chacko who had appeared in a few Malayalam films.The four women arrested along with Tom are identified as Blessy, an assistant director hailing from Bengaluru, and three models Tincy, Reshma and Sneha.
The arrested were produced in the court later in the evening and remanded to the judicial custody. Police said the cocaine was brought from Goa, where the party was held last time.The flat is owned by business baron and King's Group owner Muhammed Nizam.Chacko, who began his film career as an assistant director, shifted to acting after playing small roles. In his last release 'Ithihasa', Chacko played the central role. The arrest came at a time when he was all set to play the lead role in a full-fledged comedy entertainer titled ‘Viswasam Athalle Ellam’ to be directed by Jayaraj Vijay.
The arrested have been taken to Kadavanthra police station for interrogation.The police on Saturday raided Nisham's villa and office at Trichur as part of the investigation.Shine Tom Chacko had essayed the lead role in the film Ithihaasa, which was released in October last year2014.The models also reached Kochi from Goa. They had befriended and also made arrangements for the party online. It is said that the sale of cocaine was going on for quite some time at the flat.
